Icarus Also
Oh, and your homework for our next choreo day is to have Imprisoned and Freedom created and connected.
Icarus Day 7
Ok, so I was off in putting the title on the last entry!
Based on our discussion today, remember that you can choose any piece of music from Freeplay that is 60 seconds long....it does not have to have the word "Freedom" in the title.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CHOOSE A DIFFERENT PIECE OF MUSIC, PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY TOMORROW. Sorry to yell, but I wanted to be sure you saw that! Tracks are first come, first serve.
In response to your questions today:
Your new task is to connect Imprisoned and Freedom together. I am working on posting the music for you in the edited form.
Please remember that you will be choreographing Doomed Flight at the end of Freedom. Everyone will use the same music for that one as well.

In response to your questions today:
- The 16 count phrase that you are working on is part of your Freedom section
- The phrase may begin where your Imprisoned phrase left off, or it may stand alone at this point
- If you have finished the 16 count choreography task, you should go on
- Our goal is to choreograph 60 seconds of Freedom
- Every dancer will use the same Imprisoned music, followed by individual Freedom selections

Icarus Project Day 5
Hi Everyone;
We worked on our centre barre work and some combinations across the floor today as a warm up. These are our source material for the "Freedom" section of the dance.
As a starting point, choreograph a 16-count phrase using our jump combination as a floor pattern. Use space in the same way for your choreography - think about the tracks on the floor as well as the levels.
ALSO - check out http://www.freeplaymusic.com/index.aspx
Your task is to find a track of music to accompany your "Freedom" section. Please search for pieces with "Tack cut downs" as your music must not be more than 60 seconds long.
The title of your track is due on Thursday. No two students may choose the same track. First come, first served!
